Limited green vinyl LP pressing. Reissue. Betty Boo aka Alison Clarkson has always done things differently. She was a blast of fresh air when she burst into the charts with a string of hits in the late eighties/early 90's. Both her look and her vocal style were unique, a total sidestep from that era's mainstream which was best represented by the long line of bubbly singers on the SAW production line. Her style was sharp cut and retro, owing more to London's vibrant club scene than it did to the latest graduate of The Hit Factory. In 1991, she won Best British Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards. Her face graced the cover of Smash Hits, No 1 and NME. She was the pop star's pop star. On her second album 'Grrr!... It's Betty Boo', Betty Boo collaborated with John Coxon of the King John. The album features tracks like Let Me Take You There, which peaked at No. 12 in the UK Singles Chart, "I'm on My Way", "Catch Me", "Thing Goin' On" and "Hangover".
