The X Factor is the tenth studio album by Iron Maiden and the first of two records to feature vocalist Blaze Bayley, who joined the band following the departure of Bruce Dickinson in 1993. The album is widely regarded as the band's darkest and most introspective work, characterized by a somber, atmospheric sound and lyrics influenced by bassist Steve Harris's personal struggles at the time.
